Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

If you’re having smoothies often, then you know that finding a new recipe, or changing the ingredients every once in a while keeps it all interesting and exciting.

One of the best things about fall and Thanksgiving is pumpkin. There’s so much you can do with it. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin casserole, pumpkin bread, pumpkin juice, pumpkin smoothie.

I went to the grocery store the other day and stocked up on pumpkin puree. IF you can buy pumpkins and don’t mind hacking through them and then making your puree, then be my guest. I’m lazy and I went for the canned pumpkin. Note: canned pumpkin NOT pumpkin pie filling.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened soymilk or coconut milk work best you can try any milk of your liking though
  • 1 tablespoon raw organic agave
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (you can also use vanilla protein powder)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (cinnamon and nutmeg work as well)
  • 5 ice cubes

Method:

Throw it all in your blender and blend until smooth !
