Brain Food

When I have exams or a presentation and I know what I have to be awake and good to go for hours at a time, I reach for my safe foods. As of late, these safe foods are correlative to my pre-marathon safe foods.


When I had my most recent examinations I was very stressed. As a vegan, I don’t have that food coma type feeling, when eating. This is great; however, I’ve also become accustomed to eating every couple of hours.

The key to staying full is having protein. I reached for a whole wheat English muffin, almond butter and a sliced banana.

personally, I like to toast the English muffin. This kept me full enough to make it until lunch timed, but it was light enough to not put me to bed during digestion.
